It’s entirely possibly that this man’s music influenced me more than anything else I’ve ever heard in my life. I think if you listen to just about any Preacher Boy song, you can hear traces of Blind Willie Johnson’s influence.

Some other day, we can talk about how he died, and what a f*&%ked up world this is that a man of this much talent, with this much soul and spirit, should have passed away in that fashion.

And some other day, we’ll talk about what a piece of S&*t that so-called “tribute” album is that Alligator had the nerve to put out last year.

But right now, we’re just going to revere this man’s music. That’s it, that’s all, over and out.
