Because The Ramones.

Because when I was of a certain age, living in a certain place, distinctions between whether you were a punker, a rocker, or a waver were very important.

Because The Ramones were a very important band, because they were one of VERY few bands that both the rockers and the punkers could agree on. (Motorhead and The Clash being the other main ones.)

Because The Ramones.
