John Coltrane – My Favorite Things

Wherever John Coltrane goes, I pretty much go with him. Honestly, there really isn’t anything from him that I don’t love. From the “Coltrane” and “Blue Train” days, through the canonical Atlantic years (from whence this album comes), and to the Impulse releases, up to and including Interstellar Space/Expressions.

That said, I’m pretty partial to the Atlantic Years, and if you count my faves by spins, this record is near my tops. Like everyone else, I just can’t get enough of that soprano waltz!
