Joe Cocker – Mad Dogs & Englishmen

If I EVER make any real money, I’m gonna have THIS band. This exact band. The exact band that plays on this album.

Ok, obviously that’s not possible. But fuckin’ SOMEDAY, I’m gon’ make a record with a sound like this. This has GOT to be one of the greatest bands of all time, and one of the greatest live albums of all time.

And for the record, Pete Nartez is a bloody idiot. If you don’t know who he is, look him up.

Recommended track to start with: The Letter

With apologies to Ray Charles, I slept with Joe Cocker albums under my pillow for years.

RIP Joe. You done good.

Joe Cocker was born on this day, May 20, in 1944. We lost him in 2014.
